Title: Support and Test Engineer

Location: Sydney, Australia


Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Support and Test Engineer  to join our Sydney-based R&D

team. The successful candidate will work as part of the R&D team to ensure we deliver a first class product and customer experience to our customers.

Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Design and implement testing suite to assess hardware and software functionality of EmbediVet products

  • Assess adherence to best practices and security standards and then create plans to bring any identified areas back into compliance

  • Perform quality audit inspections and provide feedback to the team regarding systems, and documentation quality

  • Work with the team to provide education and information around adherence to standards, processes and quality control workflows

  • Assist with troubleshooting of hardware, firmware issues in order to identify, test and resolve issues

  • Review architecture of the internal and external systems and build out roadmap to make architecture scalable   

  • Create and edit technical documentation and training materials for end-users, partners and internal teams

  • Create reports and specifications for trials and testing

  • Provide IT support to the team regarding desktop/laptops, software, printers, Internet connection, email, and account access

  • Update inventory and admin systems

  • Other duties as required

Qualifications and Skills


To be successful in this role, the candidate will need the following:


  • Minimum 7 years of experience in technical support, quality assurance, testing,

  • Proficient in technical writing and end-user documentation

  • Excellent phone and email technical support skills

  • Self-starter

  • Effective English written and verbal communication skill

  • Highly developed problem solving and analytical skills

  • Ability to adapt to new environments and work effectively with a diverse team



  • Experience with version control and JIRA project management software

  • Experience with creating and mapping out workflows, procedures and process

  • Some experience with coding (C preferred), scripting and API calls.
